About djqwess427 : Alfred “DJ Qwess” Torregano - Reed Born in Inglewood, California, DJ Qwess immediately grew a love for music from his mother, a former DJ. At age 7, his parents would have house parties and Qwess would learn to appreciate music by actually playing the oldies on cassette tape and vinyl. Having a passion for Hip Hop, Qwess began writing raps and free styling. It was Christmas 95 when Qwess received his first set of turntables. Qwess and crew, GAP ALL-STARS, began hosting parties. Being creative, he utilized two Sony Play stations and a CD player as his booth. Qwess received his first crate of vinyl at 14 and began contracting parties soon thereafter. He has always had a love for all genres and music from the old school to the new. With over ten years in the business, DJ Qwess has rocked with the best of them, moving crowds from young to old, San Diego to Seattle. His talents are multi-faceted; hosting clubs, weddings, corporate events, school dances and live concerts with major artist such as: Petey Pablo, Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Trick Daddy, Trina, Faith Evans, Ne-Yo, Case, K-CI and Jo-Jo, New Edition, Johnny Gill, Guy, Ashanti, Kiley Dean, Young Guns, Kam, Guerilla Black. He also represents independent artist in the new west movement, with over 20 street tapes an over 50,000 units independently in rotation. Learning his way around the studio at a young age and being true to his pioneer spirit, Qwess invested in his first studio at age17. He released his first project in 2002: Blow Da Whistle party mix, a five volume CD mix that is in constant demand. Shortly there after DJ Qwess teamed up with Alex Black (former manager of Hip Hop artist Wyld) to host Trackz Get Blazed, Mix Tape Vol. 2, which was sponsored by Xample Entertainment Various other mix tapes Signal De Plane( a classic reggae mix), The Secret Series Various hip hop artist and a host of independent Mix tapes in rotation. Qwess was also repeatedly hired by the Playground Kings, a Southern California based basketball clothing company, to spin at the Magic Show, a prestigious fashion show held in Las Vegas twice a year. You have seen Qwess on set in some of the hottest music videos: Usher’s “Red Light” short movie Destiny Childs “Lose My Breath” and “Solider” videos and The Games “Put you on the Game”Video. You’ve seen him on Snoop Doggs new movie Bossing Up in a new movie “Black in Blue”set for theaters this summer produced by, music icon Quincy Jones’ son, QD3 and Directed by Peter Grier, of all of the Beef DVD’s/TV shows. You will see him the K-Swiss commercial ad do to run for the rest of this year on Bet, MTV, TBS, TNT, all the ESPN’s and Fox Sports Stations. After starting his first business, Fred Coool Entertainment in 2002, Qwess opened Pacific Division DJs, a management company representing both novice and professional DJs. When not spinning, Qwess oversees the daily management of Inglewood Times and Associates, inc., where he serves as founder and CEO. ITA, Inc is a newspaper magazine serving full service entertainment needs, with marketing techniques for businesses and trades of all kinds. DJ Qwess also is skilled in general contracting (specializing in cement finishing - custom, residential, commercial) to special services like hair cuts & styling, graphic print, studio engineering . . DJ Qwess is for sure one of the hardest working DJs in the business with more goals to attain. Having already conquered the streets, this young celebrity DJ is now ready for the airwaves and major Hip Hop/R&B tours. He now resides in Inglewood, California.
